Puzzlehunt disaster 1:52 AM, SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 17, 2007 Last week's puzzlehunt was, in some respects a total disaster. We solved fewer puzzles this year than the previous years and our ranking was worse than ever. I stayed there from 9:00AM on Saturday, all the way till 6:00PM on Sunday, high on caffiene most of the time. But not many people in our team took it seriously. About 3 of them who registered didn't even show up and almost half of them who showed up went home on Saturday night and didn't come back on Sunday. So, instead of playing this with 12 full-time people, we played with just me being full-time and about 4-5 part-timers. The hardest part of the hunt was the time between 5:30AM and 11:00AM on Sunday, when I was all alone in the huge conference room trying to solve 3 puzzles at the same time and struggling not to fall asleep. However, at the end of it all, we all felt like we had a lot of fun - and as usual, told ourselves that we'll do better the next time. PERMALINK | 5 COMMENT(S)
