Microsoft Company Picnic 2006 11:11 PM, SATURDAY, JULY 22, 2006 Remember the last time I went to the Microsoft Company Picnic? This year, it was today and I took Ashley with me. Even though the sun wasn't out, it was pretty hot with temperatures reaching the high 90s. This time, we went on an obstacle course race, the hay-ride and we also got to solve all the puzzles in the puzzlehunt and it was a lot of fun. Bye bye Cingular 10:10 PM, WEDNESDAY, JULY 12, 2006 Talk about bad customer service! I've been a loyal customer of Cingular wireless for the last 5 years. They stood to collect more than $2500 in wireless bills from me. Not anymore - I'm switching to T-Mobile, thanks to their "customer appreciation." With my stupid phone acting up, I am in dire need of a new phone. So, I call them up and tell them, "Hey, I've been your customer for the last 5 years - can I get a good deal on this one phone?" And they're like, "Well, we only give deals to new customers." So I'm like, "But that's what other providers are doing too - is it okay if I go with them?" And they're like, "Why are you telling this to us? If you think that's better, go with it." So, yeah, I'm going with T-Mobile now, and I regret not getting the name of that customer support person. Last week 11:54 PM, MONDAY, JULY 10, 2006 A lot was going on last week and I'll spare you all from the details... I'll just provide a gist. 1. Signed up for new Salsa classes in Seattle. Now I have to drive every Monday to Seattle and back. 2. Bought a tiny little grill and had a BBQ on my patio. 3. Ashley came over and we spread out a little picnic towel and basked in the sun, for the first time in my backyard. 4. Watched the July 4th fireworks from Gasworks park. It was the best fireworks display I've seen so far! 5. Went to Sameh & Maria's wedding party. 6. Went to Dhigha & Agnita's wedding party and danced away the night. 7. Went to Soo's birthday party. 8. Found out that Starbucks has the Chai Creme Frappuccino and it's my new favorite. 9. Shopped for my motorcycle insurance. 10. Learned that Microsoft is secretly making the iPod killer!
